We must never grow complacent or be fooled into thinking that war is impossible

Militancy, atrocities overshadow the holiday of memory of the Great Patriotic War. Let us not forget, amid all the jabber about Russia’s “Victory Day” that the Soviet Union was a loyal ally of nazi Germany until Hitler decided to invade them. Ukraine isn’t innocent either. No mention Stepan Bandera, UPA and the atrocities they’ve committed against Jews and Poles to obtain an ethnically Ukrainian state.

The heroes of WWII would be horrified to see what’s happening today. Since the dawn of time, we have been accustomed to living by the motto, “survival of the fittest.” By and large, the rule was that the strong determined the rules, and the rules were often abusive toward the weak. Now, it seems like a new mindset has set in: Wanting something and being strong enough to take it does not mean that the world will accept it.
