Artist Jonathan Martinez began creating animal drawings in a college painting class when he received an assignment to create a series of paintings with a consistent theme. He chose bears as his subject matter and realized every single one he painted was endangered. He was compelled to research more endangered species and began focusing his artistic talents on drawing these amazing animals to bring more awareness to them.
