Luc Besson, “the unloved of French cinema”…
Thanks to M. Besson for his work. Whether we like it or not, it’s wonderful what he does, and very sad when he is vilified by those who are not able to create such. Thanks to him for making millions of people dream and travel, rejoice and be disappointed, immerse themselves in a fairy tale and believe in friendship.

Concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Luc Besson’s cult blockbuster 1988 Le Grand Bleu (Big Blue). The score was performed live by composer Eric Serra and a group of musicians specially selected for the event, using L-Acoustics L-ISA technology for immersive hyperreal sound.

Before becoming one of the greatest French filmmakers, Luc Besson saw himself as a diver, a specialist in dolphins. But a serious diving accident at the age of seventeen shatters his dream. At the end of his military service, he founded his production company Les Films du loup, and left for Hollywood.
