Jaco was a great musician but lets take a second to look at the others who made the Weather Report so great during Jacos tenure. Joe Zawinul – Keyboards (Miles Davis alum); Peter Erskine – drums; Wayne Shorter – Soprano sax (probably the most talented guy in the Weather Report, dude was in, and wrote most of the songs for Miles Davis’ second great quintet)
