There are groups of people who specialize in running down seals who’ve been wrapped up in fishing line and freeing them. I wonder if animals realise they got help, or saved, or they just go back to their lives. Depends on the intelligence of the animal. Dolphins are smart enough to even seek help from humans on occasion.
But we’re not sure if the seal is smart enough to know that humans helped them.
